From the TODAY SHOW:
Mom of missing college student Shane Montgomery: 'No way he just walked away'
The mother of 21-year-old Pennsylvania college student Shane Montgomery, who has been missing since early Thanksgiving morning, believes someone had to have seen something that'll boost the search for her son.
"There is no way he just walked away and left me and Kevin and my family worried about him,'' Karen Montgomery told Matt Lauer about her son, Shane, on TODAY Thursday. "There's no way."

Montgomery, a senior at West Chester University from Roxborough, Pa., was last seen on Main Street in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia after being asked to leave Kildare's Irish Pub around 1:45 a.m. He paid a $17 tab at the bar and did not appear intoxicated, according to friends.

Local law enforcement, as well as the FBI, have used K-9 units, scoured local rivers and employed helicopters to search for Montgomery. A $31,000 reward for his return has been posted. He is described as 5-foot-11 and about 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000.

More from Montgomery's parents, Kevin and Karen:

On Shane's habit of waving or squeezing his mother's foot after any night he was out late: "Every time he came home, I asked him to just let me know he was here, and every time he went out, if he wasn't home or he got locked out, he would text me,'' Karen said. "I use my phone as my alarm, and I would come down and let him in."

On Shane's qualities: "I always knew that Shane was a very special kid,'' Karen said. "Your kids are always very special to you. I've kind of always questioned my parenting skills, and I've come to the conclusion that I didn't do such a bad job with Shane, and I hope that we find him soon."

On the search: "They are combing every inch and every frame of every video that they have had the opportunity to do, and that takes time,'' Karen said. "I'm sure that on Main Street in Manayunk, there's probably a hundred or more kids that look exactly the same as Shane."
